Technically oriented problem solver who will work with internal clients and business analysts in defining their data access requirements architect those requirements and build and implement the software solution in an environment of an assigned function (i.e. Enterprise Business Application Services or Special Projects).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Evaluate user request for new or modified programs to determine feasibility cost and time required compatibility with current system and computer capabilities.
Collaborate with business analysts and end users to identify current data access requirements and clarify software objectives.
Formulate plan outlining steps required to develop or alter program using structured analysis and design to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
Architect build and implement end-user data access requirements.
Develop/enhance automated processes and applications using appropriate tools.
Write documentation including flowcharts and diagrams to describe program development logic coding and corrections.
Troubleshoot code and data errors and run data traces to diagnose and pinpoint problems and rewrite program to correct errors.
Read manuals periodicals and technical reports to become better informed of ways to develop programs and solutions to meet user requirements.
Assist business analyst in developing test cases.
May provide technical assistance to end-users.
May monitor performance of program after implementation.
Provide time accurate estimates on programming tasks.
Perform other duties tasks and assignments as required.

Working Conditions
General Office. Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner. Must access input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
