About the role
- As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist at Firstchance youll be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Speech Pathologists Psychologists Physiotherapists Specialist Educators and Family Workers. Youll work alongside experienced colleagues and be supported by a skilled administration and finance team.
- Your work will include:
- Providing therapy to children aged 012 years and their families in community settings such as homes early childhood centres schools parks and pools.
- Supporting children with a range of disabilities including autism developmental delay chromosomal disorders and genetic conditions.
- Conducting assessments and delivering contextualised strengths based interventions that promote participation independence and wellbeing.
- Collaborating with families to set goals and celebrate achievements.
- Based at Mayfield and supporting families in the Newcastle Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens Region
Qualifications and experience
- A Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid Certificate (including asthma and anaphylaxis)
- A valid drivers licence and access to a reliable comprehensively insured vehicle
