Were looking for a Police Officer 2/3 (CPG) to join our University of Louisiana at Lafayette team. University Police Officers are responsible for enforcing laws maintaining public safety and protecting life and property on campus.
One year of law enforcement experience.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Possession of a current Louisiana drivers license.
Possession of an active Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification may be required.
An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.

Job Duties:
As a Police Officer 2/3 you will:
Patrol university grounds to prevent and detect criminal activity.
Enforce university regulations state and local laws and respond to emergencies.
Prepare reports maintain records and provide courtroom testimony as needed.
Assist students faculty staff and visitors in maintaining a safe campus environment.
Participate in training and professional development activities.

Compensation: Special Entrance Rate $19.88 per hour
