Do you want to shape the delivery of Scotlands Census enabling governments and other public bodies to plan the services we all rely on and telling the story of Scotlands people for generations to come If so this post could be for you.

The future of Scotlands Census is part of the Statistical Services business area of National Records of Scotland (NRS). This post will report to the B3 Senior Community Engagement Specialist.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Community Engagement Specialist to join our team in supporting the development and delivery of community engagement activities for the future of Scotlands this role you will assist in the execution of outreach initiatives helping to engage diverse communities particularly those who are harder to reach. You will work closely with the team to support awareness campaigns and events ensuring inclusivity and accessibility in our approach. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping raise awareness encourage participation and contribute to building relationships with community groups and local leaders.



Responsibilities
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of community outreach activities aimed at encouraging census participation particularly for hard-to-reach groups.
  • Support the coordination of events workshops and other engagement activities in partnership with local community organisations and groups.
  • Help with the preparation of materials and resources for outreach campaigns ensuring they are accessible and inclusive for all audiences.
  • Provide administrative support to the team including data collection reporting and maintaining communication with community stakeholders.
  • Undertake stakeholder engagement with public sector external organisations communications representatives and departments ensuring activity is joined up via collaborative working.
  • Undertake desk-based research to identify innovative partnership approaches.
  • Ensuring partnership activity is delivered inclusively and communications are accessible.
