The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is seeking a detail-oriented and forward-thinking individual to fill the role of Construction Contracts Analyst within our eConstruction Section. This is a full-time office-based position located in Berlin VT with the option for telework flexibility.
This newly created position will play a critical role in enhancing the quality clarity and efficiency of contracts plans and associated documents for highway and rail construction projects. It directly supports the successful delivery of over $200 million in projects annually through contract data analysis constructability contract documents reviews and eConstruction innovation. By improving the accuracy and clarity of contract documents identifying risks early in the project lifecycle and advancing digital solutions this role directly supports the Agencys ability to deliver high-quality projects. Identify potential contract document challenges and opportunities for cost savings schedule optimization and quality enhancement.

Duties are generally performed in both office and field settings for which private means of transportation must be available. Fieldwork may involve exposure to hazardous materials traffic hazards and construction sites during all weather conditions and may involve traversing rough terrain and bodies of water. Some work outside of regular working hours including attendance at public meetings may be required. Strong differences of opinion may be encountered on a regular basis.
Bachelors degree in civil engineering construction management architectural engineering or related technical field AND four (4) years of engineering experience.
OR
Associates degree in civil engineering construction management architectural engineering or related technical field AND six (6) years of engineering experience INCLUDING licensure as an Engineer Intern.
