Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology program or equivalent science required
  • 2 years hospital experience or Medical Laboratory experience highly preferred

License and Certification:

  • MLS Medical Laboratory Scientist Certified by ASCP AMT HEW HHS or NCA required upon hire OR
  • MT (ASCP) Medical Technologist required upon hire OR
  • MT Medical Technologist required upon hire

Skills

  • Knowledge of the principles methods materials equipment and techniques of medical technology
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and problem resolution
  • Demonstrates the ability to analyze situations to make operational decision to meet clinical demands
  • Demonstrates customer-focused service skills
  • Demonstrates verbal and written communication adequately to facilitate training of laboratory and non-laboratory staff to communicate specimen collection effective handle requirements and provide assistance and support to laboratory and other health care staff
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Basic computer knowledge

Work Hours: Day shift; Full-time Monday through Friday; 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
