You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailA specialist advisory firm is seeking an experienced US/UK tax professional to join its London-based team. The firm is one of a limited number in the UK providing in-depth wealth and tax planning services tailored to US-connected individuals.
This is a dual-handling role involving both US and UK personal tax compliance and advisory work with a strong emphasis on servicing high-net-worth clients. The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio participate in identifying tax planning opportunities and contribute to the development of the team and wider business.
Manage a portfolio of private clients to ensure timely and accurate compliance with both US and UK personal tax obligations.
Review and sign off tax returns prepared by junior staff prior to submission to relevant tax authorities.
Identify and clearly communicate potential technical issues and compliance risks.
Support and mentor junior team members to facilitate their professional development.
Recognise and contribute to business development and growth opportunities.
Take ownership of engagement finances including fee management and budgeting.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of technical expertise leadership capability and client-handling skills. Specific requirements include:
At least six years of experience working in US/UK private client tax ideally involving high-net-worth individuals.
Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA qualification required.
UK tax qualification such as ATT is preferred; CTA is advantageous but not essential.
Familiarity with CCH Axcess or CCH ProSystem software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Confident in managing workloads and delegating effectively to meet deadlines.
