About the unit
A Float position gives you the opportunity to cross train to Med Surg ICU Emergency Departments and OB. Float offers an opportunity to learn a broader skill set and enhance your skills by working in these departments. There also is a pay incentive for working Float.

Scope of work
Nurse Technicians act as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include taking vitals checking blood sugars bed bathing ambulating wound care catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients.
Cleans patients environment / work area / equipment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department / unit personnel.
Demonstrates a high standard of moral and ethical behavior. Advocates for privacy confidentiality and security of patient staff and organization data.

Qualifications
Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Cert required within 90 days
