Job Description
Cytotechnologist (Contract Role)
Job Details:
- Location: Cambridge MA 02138
- Duration: 13 week contract
- Shift: Day Shift(8) - 7:00 start
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2600 $2800; Depending on experience (negotiable)
- Perform microscopic evaluation of gynecologic (GYN) and non-gynecologic (non-GYN) cytology specimens.
- Identify cellular abnormalities including infections precancerous lesions and malignant cells.
- Work closely with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely results.
- Maintain quality control and compliance with laboratory safety standards.
- Document findings and ensure proper specimen handling and record-keeping.
- Bachelors degree in Cytotechnology or related field.
- Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent.
- Active Massachusetts (MA) Cytotechnologist License Required.
- At least 1 year of recent work as a Cytotechnologist.
