Job Description

Cytotechnologist (Contract Role)

Job Details:

  • Location: Cambridge MA 02138
  • Duration: 13 week contract
  • Shift: Day Shift(8) - 7:00 start
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Weekly Pay Rate: $2600 $2800; Depending on experience (negotiable)
Responsibilities:
  • Perform microscopic evaluation of gynecologic (GYN) and non-gynecologic (non-GYN) cytology specimens.
  • Identify cellular abnormalities including infections precancerous lesions and malignant cells.
  • Work closely with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Maintain quality control and compliance with laboratory safety standards.
  • Document findings and ensure proper specimen handling and record-keeping.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Cytotechnology or related field.
  • Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent.
  • Active Massachusetts (MA) Cytotechnologist License Required.
  • At least 1 year of recent work as a Cytotechnologist.
