Job Description
Primary Skills (Must-Have):
-
Hands-on CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) testing cable modems routers.
-
Strong knowledge of DOCSIS (Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification).
-
Understanding of TR-069 protocol for remote device management.
-
Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP DHCP DNS routing switching).
Application of Primary Skills:
-
Test and validate CPE device features in a QA lab environment for new software/hardware releases.
Secondary Skills (Nice-to-Have):
-
Knowledge of video protocols (e.g. MPEG RTP RTSP).
-
Experience with video management systems.
-
Familiarity with SD-WAN / SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solutions.
Application of Secondary Skills:
-
Assist in testing and debugging complex issues involving video or network services.
Ideal Candidate Background:
-
4 8 years in QA/testing of broadband or networking devices.
-
Telecom / Cable / ISP industry experience preferred.
-
Experience working in lab/QA environments with CPE hardware.
