The ODC Network is a nonprofit organization focused on outdoor education and conservation throughout West Michigan. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the mission of the ODC Network through the execution of maintenance and improvements for buildings grounds vehicles and property management at Gentex Discovery Preschool. They will work closely with the Facilities Manager VP of Operations and other members of the Management and Operations Team on the planning and execution of projects related to facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the routine maintenance of appliances restocking of supplies/dispensers/toiletries laundering of rags and mop heads and waste disposal at Gentex Discovery Preschool.
- Be responsible for mowing string trimming weeding sidewalk blowing and general upkeep of outdoor learning environments
- Dry mop clean windows assist with spill clean ups dust and regularly complete other custodial duties
- Clean classrooms between first and second shift classes
- Supervise and assist with the ODC Network waste material and recycling at Gentex Discovery Preschool
- Supervise and assist with snow removal including snow blowing shoveling and salting public access sidewalks during regular working hours
- Assist with the maintenance of safe and organized facilities equipment and vehicles for ODC Network staff and visitors
- Support operations and facilities team and help where needed
- Maintain a current working knowledge and professional working relationships in all aspects of job requirements
- Help promote the mission and vision of ODC Network
- Assist and coordinate with other staff as required including participation in required meetings and trainings
- All other duties as assigned by the CEO or executive management team
Education/Experience/Requirements:
- High school diploma with experience in buildings grounds and equipment maintenance and operation
- Three years experience preferred but not required
- Successfully pass a background check have the ability to be insured and have a valid driving license
Physical Demands:
- This position requires the ability to work outside in various weather conditions
- Must be able to occasionally lift to 50 pounds and walk stand and sit for extended periods of time.
Equipment Operated:
- Cleaning devices including mops vacuums and blowers
- Landscape equipment including push mower string trimmer snow blower and backpack blower
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications Google and the operation of general office equipment.
