Summary

The Client Team (comprising Client Services and Client Development functions) undertakes a wide range of responsibilities in driving Billups business forward developing and nurturing client and partner relationships.

Required Media Experience: 8 - 10 years

  • A strong knowledge of the OOH media landscape demonstrating a knowledgeable opinion on client and supplier news and activity.

  • The desire and ability to learn new international markets and work with local teams across multiple regions.

  • Proven experience of successfully leading a team. Delivering the highest standards of client service levels. The ability to manage diverse work groups and functions across timezones cultures and geographic locations.

  • A growth mindset with the confidence to engage your line reports to deliver strong upside in challenging conditions through organic and diversified means.

  • Experience prospecting researching and data mining for business leads and opportunities.

  • Wide experience in negotiating pricing and booking campaigns.

  • Some experience conducting analyses to support strategic decision-making and create forward visibility.

  • Strong reasoning: the ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. The ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of data in order to identify and present meaningful observations and recommendations.

  • The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Being able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Adept at using various applications including database spreadsheet report writing project management graphics word processing presentation creation/editing email communication and CRM software.

  • The desire to grow yourself your team members and Billups business.

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in advertising marketing or related media field with a preferable background in OOH; 8 or more years of experience in media planning and development especially OOH background; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

As part of our Client Services function the Account Director role collaborates closely with reports peers Senior Account Director(s) and Business Director(s) in:

Media Planning & Buying:

  • Responsible for leading the day-to-day management of your team to ensure they eectively service clients and proactively contribute to growing client and agency business. Ensuring a thorough understanding of your clients strategies objectives and the KPIs Billups must deliver for them.

  • Lead the creation and presentation of strategic visions storytelling and frameworks to clients ensuring alignment with KPIs. Demonstrate expertise in translating complex ideas into actionable strategies that drive client success.

  • Develop your team in learning strategic storytelling skills and inclusion of rationale and strategy in all media plans and client communications.

  • Develop comprehensive media plans that eectively utilize client budgets to achieve optimal results ensure use of clear strategic approach insights and rationale.

  • Review and approve media-related contracts as necessary ensuring compliance with agency standards and client expectations.

  • Lead and oversee the entire planning process from conception to execution. Ensure all media plans meet the strategic objectives and operational standards of both the agency and the clients. Manage respective accounts diligently keeping senior leadership informed with critical business updates.

  • Leadership and oversight on mid to large complex plans ensuring recommendations meet the clients objectives and strategies. Ensure utilization of MOCA opportunities and engagement with the Investment Team on relevant opportunities.

Project Management:

  • Responsible for share file drive management ensuring documents and content are saved in the relevant folders. Ensuring client and media vendor documents and folders are regularly updated within our directory.

  • Direct campaign reporting for your clients - overseeing access to Proof of Posting (POP) and Campaign Attribution ensuring this is received by clients and/or their agencies in a timely fashion.

  • Drive consistency in our work through self and team adoption of the appropriate templates and guidelines. Delivering operational excellence as an individual and with your team.

Business Development:

  • Work to develop and convert new business opportunities collaborating closely across relevant departments and with team leadership and Client Development colleagues in doing so.

  • Help your SAD(s) and BD(s) identify ways of delivering organic and diversified revenue growth developing and converting new business opportunities and establishing target plans against key accounts and categories.

  • Compile accurate updated business planning and forecasting across your clients. Working with your Senior Account Director(s) to identify potential challenges and develop solutions.

  • Help ensure annual budget delivery for your clients linking closely to your Senior Account Director(s) and Finance Team to maintain tracking and oversight.

  • Translate client interactions into actionable insights for forecasting collaborating closely with the Senior Account Director (SAD) and Business Director (BD) to align these insights with overall business objectives. This role requires a proactive approach to client service and strategic account oversight to drive client satisfaction and business growth.

Client Services Leadership:

  • Direct the resolution of any campaign issues or discrepancies across your clients drawing upon wider internal and external support as needed. Coaching your team in resolving issues.

  • Foster a revenue-generating mindset collaborating closely with the Senior Account Director (SAD) Business Director (BD) and Investment teams to focus on key priority areas such as margin improvement negotiations and trade deals. Build confidence in applying these principles within your work and guide junior sta through the process. Proactively recognize and flag opportunities with partners to drive business growth and strategic advantage.

  • Leading the organization and operational processes across your set of accounts in line with team and departmental requirements.

Department Collaboration:

  • Contribute and engage your line reports plus the Billups Marketing Team in the compilation of case studies and other relevant best practice and market intelligence materials.

  • Lead collaboration with the Investment Team for alignment and optimization across markets and vendors.

  • Lead cross-department collaboration on key projects and ensure your team is working closely with PlatSol Production Investment AdOps as required.

  • Direct Billups delivery in responding to your clients servicing needs cross-department (sciences marketing production accounting). Collaborating and problem-solving with kindness.

  • Assist the Business Director in championing change within the media department and across the organization including platforms like PlatSol Production Investment and Ad Operations.
