Overview
Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for an Implementation Engineer in Pleasanton CA area. This is a great opportunity working for a multinational clothing and accessories retailer this is an onsite contract opportunity offering benefits.
We are seeking a highly skilled Implementation Engineer to support a large-scale Campus Switching and Wi-Fi Refresh project. The engineer will follow provided scripts and guidelines to implement new network infrastructure across campus environments. This is a hands-on role focused strictly on implementation not design or architecture and requires deep technical expertise with Cisco and Juniper/Mist wireless and switching technologies.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute pre-defined implementation scripts and procedures for campus switch and Wi-Fi refresh projects.
- Deploy and configure Cisco Catalyst and Meraki switches.
- Install configure and troubleshoot Mist (Juniper) and Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi solutions.
- Perform DNS and DHCP configuration and validation as part of network rollout.
- Provide on-site or remote implementation support ensuring minimal disruption to end users.
- Collaborate with network engineering and project teams to ensure seamless deployment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of implementation steps and configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the cutover process.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering specifically in campus network environments.
- Proven experience deploying and supporting:
- Cisco Catalyst and Meraki switching
- Mist (Juniper) and Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi
- DNS and DHCP
- General knowledge of Juniper WAN technologies is a plus.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Must be detail-oriented and capable of executing implementation plans with minimal supervision.
Preferred Certifications (not required but a plus):
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Professional (CCNP)
- Juniper Networks Certification (JNCIA or JNCIS)
- Mist Certified Professional
