Join Our Team at the Marie Curie Glasgow Hospice

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community We are looking for compassionate and reliableVolunteer Driversto join our dedicated hospice team in Glasgow. As a Volunteer Patient Driver youll play a vital role in helping patients access the care they need by providing safe and supportive transport to and from the hospice.

What Youll Do:

  • Collect patients from their homes at a prearranged time and bring them to the hospice.
  • Return patients home after day services outpatient appointments or discharge from the ward.
  • Ensure patients gain safe entry to their homes.
  • Refer any medical social or personal concerns expressed by patients to hospice staff.
  • Assist with other related tasks when needed.

What Youll Need:

  • Afull UK driving licenceand access to your own vehicle.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to deal sensitively with patients and visitors.
  • Reliability responsibility and a caring nature.
  • A good knowledge of thelocal area.
  • An understanding ofconfidentialityand the needs of those affected by end-of-life care.
