Job Description
Overview
Dogwood Veterinary Hospital and Laser Center is excited to announce that we are searching for an Experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our team! This position would be a mixture of GP weekday hours and weekend Urgent Care hours. We are looking for a way to bridge the gap between general practice and emergency care. On the weekends we will have single doctor shifts to treat urgent and non-emergent cases.
We are open to Full-time or Part-time Doctors.
Urgent Care offers unique scheduling opportunities and we are here for that!
Minimum hours would be one weekend a month (Sat/Sun) 12-hour shifts (8 a.m.-8 p.m.) and we are open to explore combining GP weekday hours or additional UC hours to reach full-time.
About You:
- Youre a well-rounded and energetic DVM looking for that sweet spot between primary care and emergency medicine.
- You enjoy the ability to fully work-up and treat a broad range of challenging cases that need urgent but not emergent care.
- You provide gold standard care for your patients and clients as a life long learner you stay on top of current treatment modalities.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; as well as a good sense of humor thats what will help you thrive in our culture.
- You value schedule flexibility you like to work hard AND play hard. You understand that your own self-care is critical to your patients well-being.
- You can triage patients depending on the severity of cases.
- You can manage multiple patients of varying priorities.
