We are looking for someone to provide leadership and direction to the Maintenance Department defining all maintenance processes and workflows related to the maintenance repair and replacement of plant equipment. Ensure equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime through the application of preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Maintain facility assets and infrastructure including utilities buildings and structures and grounds. Position manages the planning scheduling and preventative maintenance programs as well as executing most of the capital expenditure projects for the site. This position is in our Augusta GA facility.
In this role youll be responsible for:
- Leading and developing strong maintenance teams demonstrating effective leadership skills.
- Providing equipment-specific knowledge in areas such as boilers steam systems DC power supplies and electrochemical processes.
- Applying plant maintenance HSE and process safety management principles and policies in daily operations.
- Fostering effective communication and collaboration with leaders and professionals across all levels.
- Utilizing analytical skills for problem-solving including root cause analysis and managing projects within a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Develop lead and continuously improve awork order-based maintenance systemto plan schedule and execute maintenance activities efficiently and effectively.
- Implement and sustainworld-class maintenance practices including preventive and predictive maintenance programs root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
- Supervise coach and develop a team of skilled maintenance technicians and planners to ensure timely high-quality execution of all maintenance work.
- Collaborate with operations engineering and safety teams to identify and address maintenance needs improve equipment uptime and drive operational excellence.
- Manage maintenance budgets spare parts inventory and vendor relationships to optimize costs while maintaining reliability and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental health safety (EHS) and regulatory requirements particularly those relevant to chemical plant operations.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders equipment history performance metrics and KPIs.
- Lead and support capital projects turnarounds and equipment upgrades as needed.
- Drive a culture ofcontinuous improvementusing tools such as 5S Lean Six Sigma and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
- Champion safety and risk management across all maintenance activities.
What youll bring to the table:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical Chemical Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial maintenance with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role within achemical or process manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise indeveloping and managing work order systems preferably with CMMS tools (e.g. SAP PM Maximo eMaint).
- Deep understanding ofworld-class maintenance methodologies(RCM TPM PdM Lean Maintenance).
- Strong leadership communication and team-building skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory and safety standards (OSHA PSM EPA etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets contractors and cross-functional projects.
