About Julian House

Role:Hub Volunteer English Conversation Classes
Hours: 2 hours - ideally on a Friday.
Location: Kingswood Bristol
The Role
Were seeking enthusiastic volunteers to lead English Conversation Classes within our Refugee Resettlement Scheme. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by helping refugees build confidence in speaking English and supporting their integration into the community!
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate casual conversations and activities to help improve participants spoken English.
- Encourage cultural exchange and foster mutual understanding.
- Support language skill development through practical conversation practice.
- Provide guidance on everyday communication from small talk to essential daily interactions.
What Were Looking For:
- Patience empathy and strong communication skills.
- A passion for supporting refugees and promoting inclusivity.
- No formal teaching experience neededtraining and support will be provided.
- We especially encourage applications from individuals with lived experience.
