Job Description

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The companys R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

Revolution Medicines is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support our growing needs in Clinical Finance. This role supports key financial operations related to our clinical development programs and reports to the FP&A Manager. This role will work closely with Cross-Functional Departments Finance colleagues and external partners to support clinical trial accruals budgeting forecasting and financial reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial insights and reporting while contributing to the operational efficiency of the Clinical Finance function. This position is based out of our headquarters in Redwood City CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the FP&A Manager serving as a business partner for Clinical Operations.

  • Prepare month-end clinical trial accruals including review of CRO reports patient costs and site payments.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations for accrued clinical and related prepaid accounts.

  • Prepare contract analysis to assess new contracts against existing budget.

  • Work with external CROs and vendors to ensure that expenses are accurately accounted for.

  • Ensure and maintain proper documentation and internal controls around clinical trial accruals for SOX compliance.

  • Support the annual audit and quarterly reviews through preparation of audit schedules and other documentation as requested by external auditors.

  • Develop and prepare monthly internal fiscal management reporting packages.

  • Help with monthly variance analysis of actuals to budget explain and investigate any major discrepancies and understand key business drivers.

  • Review purchase requests against budgeted amount and account coding.

  • Collaborate with the accounting team to collect and maintain R&D FTE project allocations.

  • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and analytical support as needed.

Required Skills Experience and Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field.

  • 5 years of relevant experience and 4 years in the biotechnology industry.

  • Highly proficient in Excel and strong attention to detail.

  • Experience in reviewing clinical contracts (i.e. CRO contracts Site contracts protocols etc.).

  • Strong work ethic and ability to adjust workload based on changing priorities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • CPA or MBA preferred.

  • Pharma or Big 4 Accounting experience.

  • Prior experience with clinical trial accruals.

  • Prior ERP and financial systems experience: Sage Intaact Netsuite Adaptive Planning.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $116000 to $145000 for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the salary for an individual working onsite in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based in. Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors including job-related skills experience market dynamics and relevant education or training.
