Requirements: Bachelor of Education Desired Qualifications/Skills:

• Child-centered approach to instruction and building positive teacher-student relationships.
• Effective organizational skills and classroom management.
• Knowledge of primary curriculum.
• Skilled in differentiating instruction.
• Knowledge of designing and implementing Individualized Program Plans for students with special needs.
• Ability to lead manage and coordinate Educational Assistants in their support roles.
• Ability to liaise and work with district FMPSD Education Department Coordinators and Consultants.
• Ability and commitment to work with school and division colleagues in professional learning activities.
• Ability to establish productive relationships with staff and parents.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth.
• Commitment to Assessment for Learning model.
• Commitment to learning and supporting Leader in Me education model.
• Willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom.
• Knowledge of school vision and mission goals.
