Job Description
Interested in helping Maverick Volleyball in its mission to foster a passion for volleyball while instilling valuable skills and behaviours by joining our board of directors
Maverick Volleyball is expanding its board and is in search of three additional directors. The board of directors is responsible for:
- Strategic Planning: Approving and guiding the clubs direction
- Governance and Oversight: Monitoring managements execution of the strategic plan and holding the CEO accountable
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks including legal financial reputational and operational risks
- Succession Planning: Selecting the leader of the organization
Heres what you can expect:
- Four quarterly board meetings (virtual)
- A full day in-person meeting annually
- Four quarterly committee meetings (virtual)
- Meeting stipend
To eliminate conflicts of interest board members are prohibited from coaching National or Provincial Teams or have children currently playing on a National or Provincial team.
To help complete the skillset of the current directors we are looking for candidates with the following experience:
- Organizational change management
- Governance and organizational development
- Fundraising and sponsorship
