About the Role
As a Eating Disorders clinician within the Body Image and Eating Disorders Treatment and Recovery Service (BETRS ) you will provide support to the team by ensuring that consumers are being streamlined through the program in a timely and efficient manner. You will also be involved in all aspects of recovery service including:

SVHA has a duty of care under work health and safety legislation to eliminate and/or control the risk of transmission of vaccine preventable diseases in healthcare settings. You may therefore be required to undergo mandatory immunisations/vaccinations (including flu vaccinations).
POSITION PURPOSE
Under the guidance of the Clinical Director (or delegate) and Manager the clinician will provide evidenced based clinical expertise to the clinical service development quality improvement activities of BETRS.
POSITION DUTIES
Eating disorder specific best practice and clinical interventions are provided to consumers and Carers of the service across the BETRS Model of Care.
Work within activity-based funding requirements in terms of completing associated documentation and data entry per consumer
Provide assessment group program facilitation key worker support and any other discipline specific interventions required to support consumers accessing the program
Provide clinical support and advice to the broader mental health service system in relation to the sub specialty of eating disorders.
Develop and impart skills and perspectives to build capacity of other staff and support clinical work
Actively apply the principles of continuous quality improvement towards clinical evaluation and service development activities of BETRS.
Ensure maintenance of documentation in accordance to accountability requirements.
INCUMBENT OBLIGATIONS

SELECTION CRITERIA
Demonstrated skill experience and competence in the delivery of evidence based assessments and interventions for people with eating disorders.
Demonstrated skill experience and competence in the provision of evidence based therapeutic interventions in group settings.

ESSENTIAL REGISTRATION LICENSE OR QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Social Work (B. SW). Eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work and registered as a Social Worker
Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. Eligible for membership of Australian Association of Occupational Therapy and registered as an Occupational Therapist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. 2. Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Knowledge & Experience: Clinician
Allied Health: A minimum of 3 years post qualification in Occupational Therapy or Social Work. The classification of the appointed clinician will be determined by years of post-graduate experience in addition to years of experience as a specialist Clinician in the field of eating disorders.
A Nursing qualification in either: Certificate Diploma or Degree (minimum) in Nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency Division 1 or 3.
Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Nursing: A minimum of 3 years relevant post graduate experience (full time)
The classification of the appointed clinician will be determined by years of post-graduate experience in addition to years of experience as a specialist Clinician in the field of eating disorders.

SVHM has grouped individuals according to their risk of transmitting vaccine preventable diseases and their risk of exposure to blood or body substances (Table 2).

Category A
Vaccination is required for this category of health care worker. Healthcare workers within this category have the potential to transmit Vaccine Preventable Diseases to vulnerable patients most at risk of mortality and morbidity from these diseases within SVHM.
This includes employees with direct physical contact with patients/clients deceased persons blood body substances or infectious material or surfaces/equipment that might contain these or contact that would allow acquisition and/or transmission of a specific infectious disease by respiratory means.
This includes laboratory workers.
Required
Category B
Vaccination is recommended for this category of HCW. This includes individuals who do not work with the risk of exposure to blood or body substances their normal work location is not in a clinical area (e.g. chef administrative staff) and only attends the clinical area for short periods of time. Essentially these individuals have no greater level of risk than that of the general community.
