Diseases like cancer dementia diabetes and heart disease affect the lives of many people in our communities. Our goal is to create a world-leading resource for health research to improve our understanding and spot the patterns of how and why common diseases start so treatments can begin sooner and be more effective.
The ambition of Our Future Health differs from other large UK population cohorts in terms of scale and the aim to recruit much higher numbers of participants from groups who are not well represented in research i.e. ethnic minorities younger people and those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
Were hiring aCommunity Engagement Managerto collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organisation to support the delivery of initiatives that help us to better recruit and engage people from communities and groups who are currently underrepresented in health research.
This work will be central to our community outreach efforts. You will be embedded in a cross-organisational project team who take a test and learn approach to help us understand what works for different communities. This will help us drive innovation and develop a multi-layered approach to enhance our diversity efforts.
As our Community Engagement Manager - Diversity-led Innovation you will be responsible for:
Project delivery and development:
Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners support on the delivery and development of diversity initiatives to effectively reach engage and support underrepresented groups. This could involve :
Project management and reporting
Advocacy and outreach
Team support
Lets prevent disease together.
This is a 10-12 month FTC covering maternity leave.
You may work remotely from anywhere within the UK with quarterly travel to London for team days.
