This Position reports to:
Operations Finance ManagerAs a Cost Accountant you will collect and analyzes financial metrics identifying trends and problems communicating information to relevant groups and recommending actions to improve financial performance of the specific factory/manufacturing site.
This is an on-site position based in Richmond VA
This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cost accounting activities including creation of standards allocations analysis and ensure accuracy of BOM and routings as it relates to finished goods
- Ensure accuracy of inventory & logistics by enforcing policies & procedures monitoring adjustments and develop corrective action(s) for exceptions
- Generate reporting for plan vs actual for costs hours production targets etc.
- Prepares financial modelling for various hypotheses and assesses impact to factory with special focus on product / business line profitability product costing production variances over/under-absorption analysis / inventory analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting Business or related is required.
- 3 years of experience in cost accounting
- Experience with SAP is required. Strong preference for candidates with Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP) Modules.
- Strong capability to collaborate with operations warehouse logistics & other functions
- Microsoft Excel skills including modeling
- English language skill and proficiency
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
