Seeking an Experienced Accounting Professional with Proven Expertise in Accountingand Leadership Support

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional with demonstrated expertise in accounts payable accounts receivable and broad-based accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring a solid track record of professional-level accounting experience and possess leadership capabilities to mentor and support junior accounting staff.

BOLI has an opening for a Senior Accountant (Accountant 1) position in the Fiscal Services Unit. The Fiscal Services Unit is responsible for administering a wide range of Bureau support functions including its budgeting financial recording payroll purchasing and mail services. This position will be based in our Portland office. The successful candidate may also be eligible to work a limited hybrid schedule.

This position is represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

What You Will Be Doing

As the Senior Accountant you will serve as lead accountant for the Bureau and as primary contact with other government agencies such as the Department of Administrative Services the Treasury Department Department of Revenue and IRS. You will provide accounting services for all agency programs and apply generally accepted accounting principles to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the information generated by the unit.
