Field Service Engineer (On-Vehicle) Mallusk Northern Ireland
35000 to 40000 Overtime Standby Travel Allowances
Full-time Permanent Vehicle CCTV and Driver Aid Systems
Are you a technically minded engineer with a passion for solving problems out in the field Were working with a leading integrator who is looking to expand their engineering team in Northern Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join a company at the forefront of vehicle technology working on cutting-edge CCTV and driver aid systems across the bus coach and rail industries.
The Opportunity
Youll be responsible for fault-finding PPM tasks and installations for a variety of on-vehicle systems. Whether its resolving a technical fault installing a new CCTV system or supporting a key customer with urgent requests this role offers plenty of variety and autonomy. Working remotely as part of a wider engineering team youll still have access to a strong support network with regular guidance and collaboration.
What Youll Be Doing
- Carrying out fault rectification PPM and system installations on customer vehicles
- Providing technical support and delivering first-class service across your region
- Supporting the training and development of junior engineers
- Completing accurate reports and maintaining stock control
- Communicating clearly and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders
- Travelling to customer sites across Northern Ireland with occasional travel further afield and to the Head Office in Nottingham when required
What Were Looking For
- Hands-on engineering experience ideally in CCTV auto-electrics electronics or a similar technical field
- Experience working on vehicles (desirable)
- A flexible approach to work including night shifts and occasional overnight stays
- A full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and IT skills (basic IT competency required)
- Electrical qualifications (NVQ BTEC or apprentice-trained) are desirable but not essential

Shift Pattern:
Typically Monday to Friday 40 hours per week. Due to the nature of the role night work and flexibility will be required. Final shift pattern to be agreed during interview.
