General Summary:
- Through direct reports oversees all space allocation activities and office moves across Sheppard Pratt.
- Assists with the planning reviewing and coordination of all Sheppard Pratt real estate.
- Manages and negotiates leases for Sheppard Pratt properties.
- Will require travel to other sites as needed.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
- Negotiates and manages all leases for Sheppard Pratt properties including creating and managing lease documents updating leases before they expire and negotiating lease terms.
- Identifies potential real estate opportunities.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with landlords property management firms and commercial tenants as needed.
- Oversees HUD property management
- Maintains relationships with program leaders to identify property management and program needs.
- Creates and maintains strategic plans for property management within the Sheppard Pratt system
- Assists Facility Managers and other applicable management in determining current and future space requirements.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
- Work requires broad knowledge of real estate management including leasing and space allocation.
- Active commercial real estate license a plus.
- Work requires a Bachelors degree in commercial real estate engineering or related field plus 5-7 years of related experience including at least one year in a supervisory role; an AA degree in or related field plus at least 5 years of related experience including at least one year in a supervisory role; or a high school diploma/GED plus at least 7 years of related experience including at least one year in a supervisory role.
- Work requires interpersonal skills sufficient to communicate effectively with all levels of staff contractors and state local and regulatory inspectors; supervise train and motivate plant operations staff; to oversee the performance of service contractors; and to effectively coordinate work with other Sheppard Pratt departments.
- Work requires problem-solving skills sufficient to effectively coordinate scheduleand supervise a wide variety of trades and services and to set priorities.

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to years and level of related experience.
