What is the opportunity

The role of Director Structured Product Trading is a Trader role on the EMEA STP trading desk managing the Mono Index book and flow initiative support STP trading. This position ensures the compliance of the trades within the market risk framework regulatory and tax frameworks and the risk appetite of the bank.

What will you do

  • Price client trades and support hedging and risk managing trades.

  • Offer support on the Multi index in case of absence.

  • Mark all relevant market parameters to match fair market level.

  • Support trading teams in their daily tasks.

  • Ensure trades are booked accurately and timely.

  • Develop a strong relationship with Sales around the world delivering prices on time and finding the right balance between sales credit and quality of the trades.

  • Actively participate in platform development efforts to obtain palatable results.

  • Improve risk management systems; develop relevant tools to fill the gaps in terms of technology.

  • Proactively identify operational/control deficiencies in the business.

  • Identifying opportunities for future business growth in Europe that falls within RBCs Risk appetite and strategic outlook in conjunction with the Global Product Heads.

  • Be mindful of the SPGC guidelines the SPCF the SPAF and all regulations.

  • Escalate any issue or potential issue that may arise to compliance operational risk management or any relevant function.

  • Identify escalate and remediate issues that could directly or indirectly lead to the unfair treatment of customers.

What do you need to succeed

Must-have

  • Proven experience working on an equity derivatives desk (trading structuring or sales) at a financial company/institution in a quantitative or programming role.

  • Bachelors degree in mathematics/Statistics.

  • Strong numerical and quantitative skills

  • FCA registration.

Nice-to-have

  • MSc in Mathematical Finance or Financial Engineering.
