Monmouth University is seeking applications for Adjunct Professors of New/Digital Media Interactive Multimedia and Web Design in the Department of Communication.
Part-time Adjunct Faculty members typically teach 3-6 credits per semester with class schedules determined based on departmental needs and candidate availability. Courses are taught in person at the West Long Branch campus. Adjunct positions remain posted continuously to expand the universitys pool of qualified adjunct faculty. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach 3-6 credits during the semester.
- Develop and deliver course lectures discussions and assignments in accordance with the curriculum and learning objectives.
- Provide time during the week to meet with students outside of class.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student engagement and academic success.
- Develop and administer projects and exams to evaluate student learning outcomes and provide grades in a timely manner.
- Provide timely feedback and guidance to students to support their learning and development.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master of Arts (MA) Master of Fine Arts (MFA) or Ph.D. in Digital Communications Design or a related field.
- Must be versed in standard graphic software packages to teach graduate students advanced-level digital media skills (audio video and web design) while also challenging students intellectually and conceptually.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialization in film making animation sound production web design and new media.
- Experience at institutions focused on the liberal arts and with prior professional and college-level teaching and media services experience.
- Knowledge of relevant interactive design field
