Assistant Store Manager Reports to:Store Sales Manager Location: 7701 Beechmont Ave Anderson OH 45255 Position Type:Full-time POSITION SUMMARY As an Assistant Store Manageryou will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in creating an environment that provides the best shopping experience for soccer players coaches referees and enthusiasts with the best service. The achievement of financial objectives including sales payroll and store metrics must be a direct result of successfully assisting in leading a store team that feels valued challenged and ultimately thrives with continued retention. This position has a responsibility in support of store field personnel operations inventory management and financial achievements. An Assistant Store Manager is an elevated leadership role that values teamwork a passion for soccer and a strong ability to lead others. ACCOUNTABILITIES - Assures achievement of financial objectives including sales payroll and metrics.
- Assures effective implementation and execution of company plans and strategies.
- Creates and in-store shopping experience that exceeds the Customers expectations that is personalized with excellence.
- Supports consistent operations and merchandising initiatives to create a unique experience.
- Assures support in continued development and retention of high-caliber talent that leads by example and encompasses a customer-first priority.
- Ensure proper store compliance regarding safety policies procedures and standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Strategic Leadership: Partner with Store Manager to achieve priorities ensuring alignment within store personnel and among leadership peers. Provide any actionable insight that can be replicated for success among the field organization.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure continued execution of strategic initiatives focusing on action steps and positive impact. Support continued management of all procedures and process improvements needed to address operational inefficiencies.
- Communication & Collaboration: Maintain strong relationships to promote collaboration and alignment. This includes sharing feedback with Store Manager regarding operational challenges communication effectiveness and other relevant issues sharing any concerns with the Store Manager to align action steps.
- Team Leadership & Development: Support any needed development motivation and direction within the store team. This will include onboarding training and ongoing feedback. Partnership with the Store Manager for continued development.
- Other Responsibilities: Serve as a thought partner to the Store Manager providing insights and recommendations. Champion the stores culture and values promoting an environment of teamwork innovation and accountability.
QUALIFICATIONS - 1 years of management experience.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business including nights and weekends.
- Ability to build strong relationships within the store team.
- Demonstrates strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage motivate and communicate at multiple levels.
- Ability to train coach and develop people.
- Must exercise problem-solving analysis decision-making and strong working knowledge of retail procedures.
- Ability to influence at multiple levels as well as demonstrated ability to work effectively to drive behavior change.
