Job Summary: The Occupational Health Technician is responsible for providing drug and alcohol testing and other ancillary services. The critical attribute required of this position is exceptional interpersonal customer service consisting of an outgoing positive attitude warm friendly joyful demeanor and the utmost care and respect for our guests patients families customers and colleagues. Job Requirements: Minimum Education: High School or equivalent required.
Required Skills:
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Licenses: LifeLock or equivalent Certified Professional Collector and LifeLock Certified Breath Alcohol Technician or certified within twelve (12) months after hire date.
Minimum Work Experience: Two (2) or more years experience in Drug testing or as a medical technician is desired; knowledge of drug screening rules and regulations is desirable. Preferred knowledge of Occupational Health or a related field.
Essential Functions:
1. Perform Drug Screens both in clinic and on-site settings.
2. Perform Breath and Alcohol Test in clinic and on-site settings.
3. Demonstrate competency in department-specific technical skills
4. Maintain required certification
5. Prepare the patient for examinations procedures and diagnostic testing.
6. Stock and Clean examination rooms.
7. Maintain inventory of supplies.
8. Prepare and maintain accurate medical records.
9. On-call is a job requirement
10. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population-specific needs of the patients served.
Nonessential Functions: Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
