Collaborate with engineering teams regulatory bodies and external partners to secure global market and customer-specific approvals.
Engage early in the product lifecycle to ensure regulatory compliance is embedded in the design process.
Monitor certification progress and associated costs addressing roadblocks throughout the development cycle.
Lead the end-to-end regulatory compliance process from product concept through global market launch.
Adapt compliance strategies as products evolve throughout their lifecycle.
Interpret and apply global regulatory and safety standards to ensure product certification and market readiness.
Document compliance requirements and provide guidance to internal teams to support ongoing product development.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
5 years of experience in hardware development.
5 years of experience working in regulatory compliance roles.
Demonstrated success obtaining global regulatory approvals (e.g. SRD ISM RFID SAR MPE Safety).
Experience managing certification processes for wireless and cellular technologies (e.g. BT-Sig PTCRB GCF; carrier certifications such as AT&T Verizon).
Strong understanding of U.S. and international compliance regulations (FCC ISED CE) and safety standards (UL CSA Intrinsic Safety ATEX).
Hands-on experience with wireless and cellular technologies (3G 4G LTE WLAN Bluetooth 802.11).
Knowledge of EMC testing principles and environmental compliance standards.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced development environment.
Strong documentation skills and the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
Experience working with regulatory bodies and testing labs across multiple global regions.
Exposure to agile development methodologies and collaborative engineering environments.
Familiarity with automated compliance testing tools and systems.
Proven ability to navigate technical challenges and find cost-effective compliant solutions.
Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Passion for sustainable technology and commitment to continuous learning.
