Gas Turbine Technician Business Unit: Sulzer Turbo Services Houston Inc. Department: ServicesAME Reports to: Eric Mitchell Company Overview: Sulzer Turbo Services (STS) is an independent provider of services and repairs of critical turbomachinery.
We specialize in the repair overhaul and replacement of parts for high-speed rotating equipment such as steam and gas turbines compressors expanders and other industrial rotating equipment found primarily in the Oil & Gas Pipeline Petrochemical Ammonia Nitric Acid Fertilizer and Power Generation markets.
Responsibilities:
Work independently and with team members to disassemble inspect conduct minor repairs assemble and modify gas turbine engines turbines accessories and support systems.
Adhere to detailed work instructions and procedures assigned by the supervisor and monitored by a quality inspector.
Acquire personal tools and hardware to perform the work. Specialized tools provided by Sulzer.
Operate instrumentation to perform pressure and flow tests.
Review all phases of tasks as specified by work instructions to perform self-inspection or peer inspection of critical processes ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Inspect operate and maintain shop equipment facilities and support systems. Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
High School Diploma or GED
Up to 3 months of hands-on jet engine mechanic experience
1 year experience in Diesel or Aviation Engine Repair
A&P License or Military Equivalent Experience
Formal training in power plant mechanics and operation
Not translated in selected languageRequired Experience:
