These efforts are monitored and assessed regularly to ensure accountability to all Summary:Lawrence Family Public Academy is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive or resource room setting. The teacher will focus on academic instruction social development and executive functioning with an emphasis on literacy and numeracy Duties & Responsibilities:Create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with mild to moderate disabilities Deliver targeted small-group or one-on-one instruction in reading writing and math. Use evidence-based instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools Foster a classroom culture that promotes self-regulation confidence and academic achievement Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and co-teaching models. Regularly assess and track student progress toward academic and behavioral goals. Communicate frequently with parents and caregivers to provide updates and strategies for home support. Work with school psychologists speech/language pathologists and other service Skills & Abilities: Prior experience teaching in a special education setting is preferred. Ability to create a safe and purposeful learning environment that supports student growth. Strong collaboration skills to ensure alignment with fellow educators and instructional & Requirements: Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred) Current state certification in Special Education Strong understanding of IEP development data collection and academic intervention strategies.
