About the role

An exciting secondment opportunity to work in the Community Safety Team as an Investigation and Enforcement officer has arisen.
There are two posts one for 6 months and one for 12 months.

The job description highlights the desirability of prior experience in enforcement or investigation but it also acknowledges that other candidates may be suitable.

Based within the Councils Community Safety Team this post will support the Council to investigate enforce and prosecute all incidents relating to unauthorised encampments and all aspects of environmental crime including graffiti flyposting fly tipping littering anti-social behaviour.

About you
  • B-Tec in Investigation or relevant industry subject experience.
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Security Industry Authority qualification or accreditation
  • Experience of directly related work/roles or suitable qualification in working in a multi-agency Community Safety / investigations setting.
  • Understanding of Data Protection and information sharing processes and General Data Protection Regulations
  • Experience of working in a local government environment and of enforcement of the issues specified above.
  • Enforcement practice / experience including simple surveillance evidence gathering investigation note taking witness statements interviewing court appearance.
