How youll contribute :

  • The clinical supervisor/charge nurse is a registered nurse who functions under the direction and supervision of the nurse manager and assumes responsibility for the hospital. The clinical supervisor/charge nurse in collaboration with the nursing leadership team assists to implement interpret and assure compliance with policies and procedures including regulatory and accreditation standards. The clinical supervisor/charge nurse is the first line support for staff physicians and other related providers on clinical issues and provides assessment prioritization and direction of activities to meet the challenging demands of the hospital units. This role also collaborates with the nurse manager on clinical development (employee relations individual behaviors physician relationships etc.) and is the clinical support for the department when the nurse manager is unavailable. The clinical supervisor/charge nurse is responsible for implementing hospital goals and objectives based on budget parameters. The clinical supervisor/charge nurse reinforces the mission and vision of the hospital in all interactions Accurately performs patient assessments and identified patient needs.

  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.

  • Provides patient and family teaching throughout the rehabilitation stay and prior to discharge.

  • Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.

  • Works cooperatively and actively participates with other members of the interdisciplinary team.

  • Qualifications and requirements:

  • Graduate of accredited nurse program with current licensure in the state. Bachelors degree preferred.

  • CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.

  • Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in rehabilitative or acute setting and/or demonstrates leadership ability.

  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrates problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred
