As a Law Enforcement Officer with the MSPCA-Angell youll have the opportunity to make a real difference by helping animals supporting families and building stronger more humane communities across Massachusetts. You will also have the benefit of a consistent weekday schedule the ability to work primarily out of a home office and a take home vehicle. We are looking for someone who can work from a home office in Central Massachusetts.
Duties
- Investigate reports of animal cruelty or neglect and take appropriate action to ensure animal safety and well-being.
- Work alongside community organizations social service providers and local agencies to offer both enforcement and compassionate support.
- Provide resources to help families keep their pets at home by including access to veterinary care food and other critical services.
- Educate the public and assist in community outreach efforts to raise awareness and prevent harm before it happens.
- Safely handle transport and care for animals in the field.
- Serve as a visible trusted resource for humane law enforcement across your region.

What we are looking for:
Were seeking someone who:
- Is currently certified in Massachusetts as a Full-Time Police Officer by POST.
- Has at least one year of experience in law enforcement or investigations.
- Communicates clearly and calmly in difficult situations.
- Approaches each case with empathy professionalism and sound judgment.
- Works well independently but also values being part of a team.
- Brings a genuine passion for both animal welfare and public service.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred
Requirements:
- Valid MA drivers license and a Class A License to Carry.
- Current CPR and first aid certification.
- Ability to pass a physical and psychological fitness evaluation per POST standards.
- Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs. and working in a variety of environments.
- Willing to relocate to Central Massachusetts and respond to reports of animal cruelty and neglect.
- Ability to pass a full background check including fingerprinting and employment history review.
