Job Description

Financial Controller in Investment Management
We are seeking someone to join our Finance team as a Financial Controller in Investment Management Finance (IM Finance) department

B Standard Description of Division and JA Job Family In the Finance division we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management review analysis and advisory services of the Firms financial and capital resources. This is a Director level position within the RECRUITER to add standard JA Job Family Description based on Job Profile.

Team Profile:
The IM Finance controllership team provide global support services to an array of legal entities business lines and products. The teams core locations are in New York London Hong Kong and Tokyo with specialist support teams in Baltimore Boston and Budapest.
Collaboration and communication across the various locations are critical to the overall function and success of the team.

D Part 1: Scope of Role What youll do

What youll do in the role:
-Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
-Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area product and/or client segment
-Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
-Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firms values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
>Take ownership of core controllership functions including revenue and balance sheet substantiation.
>Provide a structured approach to review governance and oversight of centralized operational accounting teams.
>Assist the Business Unit and Finance CFO teams in providing analytical insight and decision support to stakeholders.
>Lead initiatives to enact change and efficiency of processes to support business expansion and the new product approval (NPA) process.
>Provide integrated support across both and segment reporting and legal entity teams including Board-level reporting.
>Liaison to both internal and external auditors.

What youll bring to the role:
-Advanced understanding of Finance functional area product and/or client segment and technical skills as well as of industry and competitive environment
-Ability to provide positive and constructive

-Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences and create plans to mitigate those risks
>3-5 years of financial services industry experience and ideally hold a professional accounting qualification.
>A proactive and inquisitive approach with a desire to learn and improve control processes.
>Excellent team working skills and an ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization.
>High attention to detail and focus on complex booking models.
>Technical skills to manipulate large data sets and clearly articulate your interpretation.
