At Cavendish Nuclear were working to create a safe and secure world together and if you join us you can play your part as a Mechanical Technician based at the Heysham 2 power station.
The role
As a Mechanical Technician youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. Working within the nuclear sector youll operate and maintain highly specialised mechanical systems in a dynamic technically complex and tightly regulated environment. As part of a dedicated Maintenance Team youll provide essential support to the Heysham 2 power station contributing to the safe and efficient operation of critical infrastructure. Your role will involve hands-on work with precision equipment routine and reactive maintenance tasks and close collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
Through your efforts youll help ensure the continued safety reliability and performance of the site playing a key part in maintaining the UKs energy resilience.
This is a permanent full-time position with contracted hours of 37 per week. Working hours are 08:30 16:30 Monday Thursday / 08:30 13:30 Friday. Overtime is frequently available and is paid at time and a half.
Please note that this position involves manual work. This could include lifting bending using tools or standing for extended periods of time.
