Job Title: Powered Access Engineer Field based
Salary: 40K PA
Location: North West area - Manchester East West Cheshire Liverpool Preston

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect & maintain powered access equipment (e.g. scissor lifts vehicle-mounted platforms boom lifts) routinely and before delivery (PDI)
- Diagnose faults including mechanical hydraulic electrical and structural issues using diagnostic tools and inspections
- Repair refurbish or overhaul equipment replacing parts as needed and testing to ensure operational safety and performance
- Manage service paperwork: record job sheets parts used completion status; liaise with parts and service departments
- Customer/Site interaction: perform on-site service communicate effectively with clients or depot managers
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Mechanical hydraulic and electrical aptitude: experience with fault-finding wiring hydraulics diagnostics
- Relevant vocational qualifications: e.g. NVQ Level3 in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Full UK driving license is essential
- Good communication & customer service skills ability to work under own initiative or within a team
- Previous experience working on powered access or plant equipment ideally in rental hire or field service contexts
