Job Description

JOB TITLE: Touch-Up Operator - Printed Circuit Boards (2nd Shift)
LOCATION: Clearwater FL
PAY RATE: Up to $22/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Shift: 2nd Shift 3:30 PM 2:00 AM

  • Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role

  • Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary

Summary:

  • Use microscope to verify part placement orientation and perform pre- and post-solder inspection and touch-up

  • Identify and correct solder defects including poor wetting solder voids shorts/bridges misaligned parts tombstoning and other SMT defects

  • Read and follow instructions identify standard SMT components

  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment; overtime may be required

  • Sit for long periods while focusing on detailed repetitive tasks

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role with printed circuit boards

  • Above-average surface mount and fine-pitch soldering skills

  • Experience working to IPC-610 and IPC J-STD-001 standards (IPC certification preferred)

  • Ability to perform detailed inspection and solder repair under a microscope for extended periods

  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings

  • Strong communication organizational skills and teamwork mindset

  • Basic computer proficiency comfortable using multiple Windows-based programs

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in a LEAN Manufacturing environment

  • Strong leadership mentoring and training capabilities
