You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailDuties: Job Summary:Under the guidance of the Medical Director of Cardiology and in a team environment this position is responsible for providing cardiac diagnostic tests on both in-patient and out-patient basis. Job Responsibilities:-Primarily performs echocardiograms exercise stress echocardiograms pharmacological stress echocardiograms.-Performs routine stress tests pharmacological stress tests Holter monitors and ECGs as needed.-Obtains continuing education credits in order to maintain credentialing status.-Provides preliminary echocardiogram report to interpreting physician.-Reviews orders for appropriate ICD-9 codes enters information into log and enters charges into computer. Pulls previous test results for comparisons.-Processes ECG including: pulling previous ECGs for comparisons entering charges entering the Muse system the physicians corrections to the machine interpretations.-Aids in the preparation of final reports by correcting typographical errors. Copies distributes and files finalized reports.-Answers the telephone and schedule tests.
Skills: Required Skills & Experience:-N/A Preferred Skills & Experience:-One year experience in echocardiography.
Education: Required Education:-Graduate of an accredited program of Echocardiography or Cardiac Ultrasound or equivalent. Preferred Education:-N/A Required Certifications & Licensure:-Registered Cardiac Sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonography or equivalent.-BLS Certification (AHA HSI or American Red Cross). Preferred Certifications & Licensure:-N/A
Schedule Notes: 40 hours a week; 8a-5p Echo technician preferably with experience and familiarity with Epic Patient population ranges from young adult 18 up to elderly people
