Job Description

Multimodality Tech (Permanent Role)

Location: Plano TX 75093
Shift: 8 HR Days 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Essential Functions:
  • Perform high-quality multimodality imaging procedures as per exam protocol.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and image quality per departmental standards.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of radiation dose levels; take appropriate actions when limits are exceeded.
  • Operate point-of-care (iSTAT) equipment to assess creatinine levels when needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients using AIDET methodology (Acknowledge Introduce Duration Explanation Thank You).
  • Confirm correct patient identification and the appropriate exam is performed.
  • Provide patient education regarding procedures and assess patient tolerance.
  • Prepare patients and equipment; apply correct positioning and exposure settings.
  • Maintain adherence to infection control safety and radiation protection protocols.
  • Use sterile technique for invasive procedures and follow proper hand hygiene practices.
  • Maintain equipment and coordinate with technical staff for troubleshooting.
  • Monitor inventory and ensure cleanliness of the imaging suite.
  • Screen all individuals entering the imaging area per policy.
  • Manage and maintain imaging records in accordance with protocols and regulatory standards.

  • Ability to work independently and manage workflow efficiently.
  • Professional and patient-centered service under stress or during emergencies.
  • Competence in using emergency equipment and first aid.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and training of others.
  • Maintain professionalism and work to improve patient satisfaction.
Required Qualifications: Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or Diagnostic Imaging Program.

Experience:

  • 3 years of multimodality experience preferred
  • Fluoroscopy and OR experience required
  • Less than 1 year of experience required.

Licensure & Certifications (Must have at least 2):

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 30 days of hire.
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) Licensed in the State of Texas.
  • Certification in at least two of the following modalities:
    • ARRT-R (Radiography)
    • ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography)
    • ARRT-MR (MRI)
    • ARRT-S (Sonography)
    • ARRT-M (Mammography)
    • ARRT-N (Nuclear Medicine)
    • ARRT-VI (Vascular Interventional Radiography)
    • ARRT-BD (Bone Densitometry)
    • ARRT-BS (Breast Sonography)
    • ARRT-CV (Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography)
    • ARRT-CI (Cardiac Interventional Radiography)
    • RDMS (AB OB/GYN BR FE PS)
    • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist)
    • CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist)
    • ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists)

Note: Must spend at least 50% of time working in the secondary modality.
