Job Description: Specification Engineer
The EFS Specification Engineer plays a key role in defining and documenting the internal design of radio products with a particular focus on Radio Frequency (RF) systems used in 4G and 5G networks. The role involves analyzing high-level system and hardware requirements and translating them into detailed functional design and interface specifications. These specifications guide software hardware and system development teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
This position is ideal for individuals with strong analytical thinking attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. It also requires familiarity with formal specification processes and tools used in the telecom industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze high-level system and product requirements to define internal RF component behavior and interactions.
- Create and maintain clear consistent and detailed specifications that support development integration and testing activities.
- Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to ensure coherent system-level design.
- Review and refine feature proposals to ensure feasibility and technical soundness.
- Lead technical discussions and drive decisions on design-critical aspects.
- Support implementation teams by clarifying requirements and providing technical guidance throughout the development process.
- Participate in effort estimation and planning activities related to new features or changes.
- Ensure traceability and consistency of requirements across various specification layers.
Facilitate and participate in requirement elicitation workshops and review sessions.
Cooperate with verification teams to ensure that specifications are testable and verifiable.
Identify and proactively manage gaps conflicts and risks related to system requirements.
Maintain alignment of specifications with product roadmap and customer expectations.
