You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs Breakfast Chef de Rang at Sofitel London St James you will play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional breakfast experience that reflects our French art de vivre and five-star luxury standards. You will oversee a designated section of the restaurant ensuring attentive and personalised service. Following the breakfast period you will support the smooth transition into lunch or afternoon tea service contributing to a seamless and elegant dining experience throughout your shift.
Main Responsibilities:
Welcome and attend to guests with warmth professionalism and attention to detail.
Ensure smooth and timely service within your section during the breakfast period.
Maintain a high standard of mise-en-place and cleanliness before during and after service.
Possess in-depth knowledge of the breakfast menu including dietary options and allergen information.
Collaborate effectively with kitchen and service teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Handle guest requests and feedback promptly ensuring any issues are communicated to management.
Upsell menu items and provide recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
After the breakfast service assist the team with preparation and service of lunch or afternoon tea as required.
Support the overall team with resetting the restaurant and transitioning between service periods.
Guide and support junior team members fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Adhere to all health safety and hygiene standards in accordance with company and legal regulations.
Qualifications :
Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards particularly breakfast and afternoon tea.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for hospitality.
Ability to work under pressure and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail with a proactive and guest-focused approach.
A team player with a flexible attitude and willingness to support across different service periods.
Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
Right to work in the UK.
