EXD/PBF/CPG is looking for a Junior Legal Coordinator to join the Contract Management Unit to carry out legal and support tasks relating to procurement contracts to facilitate the signature process of procurement legal instruments and assist with communication to Directorates and Programmes to promote contract and procurement best practices.
Main Responsibilities
Legal Support
Support the review and verification of procurement documents including contracts letters of termination and amendments;
Assist in the drafting of contract clauses to ensure that the interests of the OECD are protected;
Carry out legal research on an ad hoc basis to support the team;
Maintain internal records including supplier feedback and clause database to ensure accurate and up to date data;
Respond to queries from Directorates and Programmes advising them on the OECDs financial procedures and the use of OECD templates (procurement template contracts NDAs);
Ensure the Contract Management Units internal templates and guides are regularly updated and aligned with current practices.
Administrative Support
Facilitate the signing process of procurement legal instruments exceeding EUR 30 000 including both the eSignature tool and handwritten signatures;
Support the team in records and archiving management and liaise with the relevant teams across the Organisation;
Carry out accurate reporting on the Contract Management Units activity;
Address queries related to contract signatures and archiving procedures;
Assist in the communication to Directorates and Programmes promoting contract vendor management and procurement best practices.
Other tasks:
Assist the Head of the Contract Management Unit and the Purchasing Legal Coordinator with any other tasks related to the activity of the Unit
Carry out any other legal and administrative related duties in accordance with instructions received.
Qualifications :
Ideal Candidate Profile
Academic Background
Post-secondary education in the legal and/or procurement field.
Professional Background
Proven research skills;
Relevant experience in reviewing contracts and legal negotiations;
Experience in communicating and explaining legal issues to non-expert audiences;
Flexibility and ability to cope with conflicting requests and meeting strict deadlines;
Ability to communicate clearly and convincingly both orally and in writing;
Experience working in a multicultural environment would be an advantage;
Experience with eSignature tools for the signature of legal documents would be an advantage.
Languages
Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other with commitment to reach a good working level.

Contract Duration
Two-year fixed term appointment with the possibility of renewal up to a maximum of 3 years.
The monthly salary starts at 4 556 EUR plus allowances based on eligibility exempt of French income tax.
The appointment may be made at a lower grade based on the qualifications and professional experience of selected applicant.
Please note that our Rules and Regulations stipulate that the mandatory retirement age is 67.
