Job Description
Drive smarter cloud solutions and cost efficiency at scale. Viva Energy Australia is seeking a Senior FinOps & Cloud Engineer to lead the design and delivery of cost-effective Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) Terraform and cloud-native services. This is a hands-on technical role with strategic influence optimising cloud spend enabling automation and shaping infrastructure that supports critical national operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable secure Azure infrastructure using IaC and Terraform
- Monitor and optimize cloud usage and costs with FinOps best practices
- Leverage Azure-native services (AKS Functions Logic Apps etc.) to enhance performance
- Automate deployments and integrate with CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure compliance security and governance across cloud environments
- Build dashboards and reports to track cloud spend and forecast budgets
- Collaborate across teams to align infrastructure with business and financial goals
Qualifications :
- 10 years in cloud engineering with deep Azure expertise
- Strong background in infrastructure automation DevOps and CI/CD
- Proven experience with FinOps tools and cloud cost optimization strategies
- Skilled in Terraform Git scripting (Python PowerShell) and cloud-native services
- Experience in hybrid cloud environments and multi-site enterprise infrastructure
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Retail experience is a plus
