We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to work out of our Fort Myers Naples or Port Charlotte Florida offices. This position will encompass all aspects of project management and engineering design of utility projects including but not limited to water wastewater and reclaimed water infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project management assistance on several types of utility and pipeline projects including client coordination contract negotiation developing and maintaining project schedules and maintaining project budgets
• Supervising CAD designers and project coordination with other departments professions and agencies
• Supervising permit technicians and administration in completing permit applications and moving the permit application process forward
• Construction observations preparing field observation reports of construction activity and witnessing critical tasks during construction
• Project coordination and communication with construction managers contractors owners construction inspectors and permitting agencies
• Writing technical reports letters project summaries and emails
• Maintain regular contact with clients and regulatory agencies

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in relevant Engineering discipline
• Professional Engineering License. Will consider strong candidates with EIT certificates who are on their way to licensure
• Experience in water and wastewater pipeline pump station hydraulic modeling and/or treatment plant design
• Ability to work both in the field and in office settings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Excel Word Project and Outlook
• Valid Florida drivers license and clean driving record as driving is an essential part of the position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in Southwest Florida
• Minimum of 5 years of local experience in civil engineering of utility projects
• Florida PE license
