As anEngineering Technician Co-opwithin the MRI Systems team you will support the integration testing and troubleshooting of MRI systems and subsystems. This hands-on role is ideal for students currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year technical or engineering degree program who are looking to gain practical experience in a collaborative environment where learning and mentorship are prioritized.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist engineers with the assembly integration and verification of MRI system components.
  • Execute diagnostic testing and support root cause analysis for system-level issues.
  • Document test procedures results and configurations in accordance with quality standards.
  • Maintain lab equipment and ensure compliance with safety and 5S practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design manufacturing and quality engineering.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Actively enrolled in a 2- or 4-year degree program in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Biomedical Engineering Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Strong interest in medical imaging and hands-on technical work.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel Word PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work on-site in Waukesha WI.
