DescriptionThe University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) is seeking a full-time Administrative Specialist (CL2) within its STEM Division. This dynamic on-campus role is essential to supporting the day-to-day operations of the division requiring a high level of professionalism initiative and independence.
As an Administrative Specialist you will manage facility access financial transactions documentation and support programming and events specific to STEM. Youll work closely with division leadership faculty and staffhelping coordinate activities assisting stakeholders and ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for students and visitors. The successful candidate will be organized resourceful and capable of upholding policies with diplomacy and respect across diverse groups and situations.
This position offers a starting wage of $19.61 per hour (non-negotiable) or the applicable transfer rate for current ACSUM bargaining unit employees. Required Qualifications:
- High school diplomaor equivalent (G.E.D.) and sufficient experience including two years of administrative support experience.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent record of interpersonal written and oral communication organization and technology skills.
- Ability to oversee and train student employees and provide ongoing guidance about their work with members or those participating in a special event.
- Ability to function independently and creatively with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within a college or university setting.
- Administrative support experience.
