Read more: position is a Manager responsible for the Audio-Visual Infrastructure and Site Design Services Globally for BMS which includes design of backbone infrastructure including Structured Cabling Systems MDFs/IDFs and Data Centers for new facilities renovations and standardization. Additional responsible include maintaining standards and planning for the operation of these services. Coordinates and directs the activities plans and projects accordingly.
Responsibilities will also include but are not limited to the following:
Manages the Audio-Visual Infrastructure service operations and support
Responsible for contributing to standard documentation and project documents for the service.
Manages and coordinates the activities of multiple project teams.
Designs/specifies IT building infrastructure (cabling HVAC physical security power etc.)
Coordinates with Workplace Services and or business entities on new site build outs.
Coordinates with Workplace Services and or business entities on site expansions.
Interacts with Facilities business units and entities to gather customer requirements and communicate IT standards and recommendations and set budget expectations.
Interacts with service owners to disseminate customer requirements and decide technical solutions
Reports project status to senior management
Manages site closures and equipment decommissioning
Manages and directs projects including assigning external resources; estimates delivery dates and costs as applicable.
Mentors new teammates via orientation communication of policies and procedures and establishment of short and intermediate term objectives
Identifies formal and on-the-job training requirements
Manages and tracks personal objectives
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Strong background of Unified Communications and the key components that make up Telephony Audio Visual.
Strong background in operations.
Basic understanding of modern data networks and the key components that make up LANs WANs wireless connectivity network security cabling/wiring infrastructure and related technologies
Ability to discuss technical issues to non-technical staff in a manner that is clearly understood
In depth understanding of building technology infrastructure
Good understanding of base building infrastructure and facilities systems.
Demonstrated skill in construction budget preparation and job cost accounting
Ability to manage external resources.
Ability to identify problems develop alternative solutions make decisions and achieve consensus on a course of action in a complex and multi-disciplinary environment
Skill in interpreting technical and construction documents
Ability to effectively analyze and review construction documents and technical drawings such as architectural plans network layout bid documents contract documents
Ability to organize and prioritize workload effectively to meet scheduled deadlines
Some Domestic and International travel may be required.
Education/Experience:
5-10 years Infrastructure design and implementation experience in a corporate environment.
Experience in large multinational organizations with multisite IT organization and 3rd party service providers.
Organizational Fit Considerations: The candidate must be flexible to take on different tasks at short notice and have the ability to function in cross-functional team setup that consists of different disciplines. Prospective candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Hands on experience managing a customer facing mission critical environment that is directly driven by customer satisfaction.
Significant experience with all aspects of technology life cycle management including planning acquisition introduction operations and retirement.
Experience driving and implementing new technologies and processes in large environments.
Experience with working in validated environment standard network change management access control mechanisms and configuration policies in pharmaceutical environment.
Proven ability to evaluate and manage risk.
Excellent written and verbal communications; effective interpersonal skills.
The starting compensation for this jobis a range from $85000 - $100000 plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job such as required skills and where the job is performed.
Final individual compensation will be decidedbased on demonstratedexperience.

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential site-by-design field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:
Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
